Lady of the Desert

The unique and sometimes bizarre formations of White Pocket. I was literally leaning off an 80 ft cliff with my right hand while trying to take a photo one-handed with the other to get this shot. It was worth it but I'm pretty glad I didn't slip 🙂 I had been hiking for seven hours and was exhausted and dehydrated. That tends to impair my capacity to assess risk 😳

I see a gothic madam in a hooded cloak with her hands on her hips. Looks like she's giving somebody a piece of her mind. What do you think she's saying? I think she's telling off a young maiden who's been batting her eyelashes at the madam's husband a little too often 😳
